Introduction

Sometimes, you may find a need to convert a PDF file to Word to edit the file, or convert a Word file to PDF or some other format if there is some issue with the Word files. Here are some ways to do that.

There's a chance that file's contents might look different in the new format, but most of the time, the difference is negligible.

Webpage to PDF Conversion

You can print to PDF any webpage in Chrome or Firefox. Print the webpage as you normally would but either choose PDF or Adobe PDF for the printer option, or look for “Save As PDF” or “PDF” in the printer dialog window after your press Ctlr+P or Cmd+P or the print icon or file menu option.

PDF to Word Conversion with Adobe Acrobat

Adobe Acrobat Pro both will let you easily convert a PDF file to Word format (either .doc or docx).

Check if Adobe Acrobat Pro is Installed

CCI faculty and staff should check to first see if they have one of the programs or applications installed already by doing the following.

Mac Users: Look in the "Applications" area for "Adobe Acrobat Pro." One way to find the "Applications" area is to open a new "Finder" window and look on the left-hand side panel for "Applications."

If you're not sure what "Finder" is, then you are indeed a Mac nuby, and you should review the link below. "Finder" is incredibly useful when using Mac OS.
