Office 365 -- Linux Use

At present, you will need to use the Office 365 web portal (https://portal.office.com ) to use Office 365 on a Linux computer or virtual machine (VM).
You currently cannot install Office 365 and/or Office 2016 on Linux.
We've tested the Office 365 web portal (https://portal.office.com ) on Linux on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and the basic functions seem to be working.
