Check if you have auto update turned to on. If so, disable it for vscode and/or extensions.

Uninstall vscode and/or extensions, and try not to install the newest version.

If you are not on the newest version of vscode and/or extension, and you have this issue, try to get newest version installed. Hold off on turning on auto update still.
