3D Printing services provided by CCI IT
What is 3D Printing?
The CCI Commons has 3 types of 3D Printers. The iPrusa MK3S is our best one generally. Only CCI Commons tech staff are allowed to operate it, but we are happy to print out most anything for Drexel CCI students, staff, and faculty. We also have 2-3 DaVinci Pro 1.0’s and a FlashForge Finder printer. 2 of the DaVinci Pro’s are in the CCI Commons, and are generally for CCI Commons tech staff use only, but the FlashForage and the Da Vinci Pro in the 9th floor MakerSpace can be used by anyone. Ask for supplies or assistance in the 10th floor CCI Commons computing lab in room 1067, next to the 10th floor lobby.
How do I get access?
Email ihelp@drexel.edu and provide us with .stl file. You can also give us a .gcode file as well, but we need the .stl. file, in case there are issues with your .gcode file or print as a whole. We need a week at least to turn around prints. We can sometimes go faster, but some prints are more complicated than others, or other issues arise. There are 2 older 3D Printers (FlashForge Finder and DaVinci Pro 1.0) in the 9th floor MakerSpace currently open for use by anyone. Instructions below and at those printers, and we can arrange a meeting on them, though we make no promises how quickly we can do so, if you email ihelp@drexel.edu .
