Adobe Acrobat Pro and Creative Cloud

What is Acrobat Pro?

Adobe Acrobat Pro is the market-share leader in PDF file editors. Export and convert to and from PDF and other file formats, like Word, PNG/JPEG image files, etc. Combine multiple PDF’s together or break them apart. Recognize text in or optimize PDF’s. And most importantly, allow digital signatures for important documents for legal, business, research, and other purposes. Adobe Creative Cloud is Adobe’s method of managing/installing Adobe software, but it’s really only Adobe Acrobat Pro that is the paid license software available to Drexel faculty, staff, and PhD students.

How do I get access?

Any Drexel faculty or staff member on a Drexel-managed or -owned computer or laptop running a supported version of macOS or Windows should have installed, be able to install, or get installed a copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Reader is free from the Adobe website, and still better than web browser PDF readers, but it’s not good enough for editing, converting, or digital signing. If you cannot find under Programs or Applications Software Center (in Windows, under Microsoft Endpoint) or Self Service (under JAMF), contact ihelp@drexel.edu . If PhD or other students working under faculty members require access, also contact ihelp@drexel.edu . Adobe Creative Cloud can be installed free and connected to your Drexel account (or just log in using your Drexel account), but make sure you choose “Company or School Account.”
