Tux is the CCI Compute Cluster for educational computing
What is Tux?
CCI’s Tux cluster provides a standardized environment for students, faculty, and course/teaching assistants to write code and make use of Linux programs and tools.
The most common example of using Tux comes from CS courses. In many CS courses, all students must test their code on Tux before submittal. This allows TAs and faculty members to test student code in the same environment as students used to develop it.
How do I get access?
All CCI Faculty, Staff, and Students, as well as all students taking CCI courses, receive access to Tux. Access for students is typically granted before their first day of classes, and faculty and staff receive access when they join the College.
