Office 365 - Reset OneDrive

*Do not unlink OneDrive or uninstall it. Unless you unlinked the OneDrive folder from the account and uninstalled, renamed the old OneDrive folder, reinstalled and linked to a new OneDrive folder, and still have issues. 

If Reset Doesn't Work

  1. Drag the old OneDrive app to the trash
  2. Install the latest OneDrive.

    If you have both personal and work OneDrive

    • You will need to reset OneDrive (For Windows, Mac, Android & iOS reset) for both

      For Windows 10

      If the reset does not help, you may try uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive below:

      Uninstall OneDrive for Windows 10

      1. Open "Control Panel"
      2. Go to "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" OR select "Find Programs", then "Programs and Features"
      3. Find "Microsoft OneDrive"
      4. Select and uninstall

      Reinstall OneDrive For Windows 10

      1. If you later decide to reinstall OneDrive, run OneDriveSetup.exe and follow the onscreen instructions. In some systems there is an additional copy of the file left in the following directory:
        C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\Update\OneDriveSetup.exe
        (or)
        C:\Windows\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe

      2. If the file doesn’t exist in the above location, run OneDriveSetup.exe located at the Windows\SysWOW64 or Windows\System32 directory. This setup package may not be the latest one, but it downloads the current version installer from Microsoft’s servers and runs it. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the OneDrive client from the Microsoft site.
