How to Find a Serial Number
Here are the instructions on looking up serial numbers
- Click the Start or Windows menu in lower right, or press the Windows key +R.
- Type in "cmd.exe" (no quotes). Press Enter/Return.
- Enter "wmic bios get serialnumber" (no quotes). Press Enter/Return.
- Write down the string of numbers and letters that you see.

If the above doesn't help, look on the top or bottom of your computer for the serial number or s/n or sn, or service tag or s/t or st. If neither is available, try the part number or p/n or pn.
