Bb Learn Discussion Boards -- Grading "Attempt In Progress" Posts
If you have a post that has one of the following icons showing in "Full Grade Center"...
or
The student saved their post as a draft to submit later in Bb Learn rather than actually submitting it.
Until the student goes in to re-edit the draft of their post in Bb Learn and actually submits it, no one aside from the student can read the text of their post.
So here are your 2 options:
- You can ask the student to submit the draft of their post in Bb Learn, and that will let you see the text of their message and grade it as you normally do.
- Or you can use the method below to manually grade the student’s draft submission without reading the post.
It’s up to you if you want to count this grade late or not.
There’s no technical issue here.
Students on rare occasions can either just forget to finish the draft of a post, or randomly click Save as Draft rather than Submit.
If the student repeats this behavior, they are most likely taking advantage, but an occasional error happens every now and then and is likely an honest mistake.
But again, it is completely up to you how to grade.
