Editing

Adaptive Release is overkill if your only criteria is date/time: Adaptive Release isn't recommend usually if you are only hiding or showing content based on simple data and time criteria.

You can edit "Adaptive Release" or "Adaptive Release: Advanced" functionality for a folder, tool, or piece of content by doing the following:

  1. Hover over the folder, tool, or content in a content area with your mouse cursor.
  2. Click the circled down arrow that appears next to the title of the folder, tool, or content.
  3. Select "Adaptive Release" or "Adaptive Release: Advanced."
    1. You may want to see if "Adaptive Release" will work for your purposes before using "Adaptive Release: Advanced."
  4. If using "Adaptive Release":
    1. Complete the relevant sections, such as the ones for date and/or membership.
      1. Membership is for specifying which student users or groups can see the folder, tool, or content.
    2. Click "Submit" when finished.
  5. If using "Adaptive Release: Advanced":
    1. Hover over a rule, click the circled down arrow next to the rule, and click "Edit Criteria."
      1. Click "Manage" instead of "Edit Criteria" to rename the rule.
      2. Click "Copy" instead of "Edit Criteria" to copy the rule.
      3. Click "Delete" instead of "Edit Criteria" to delete the rule. Click "OK" if prompted.
    2. Hover over a criterion, click the circled down arrow next to the criterion, and click "Edit."
      1. Click "Delete" instead of "Edit" to delete criteria, and click "OK" if prompted.
    3. Make your changes. Here are some helpful notes.
      1. Membership is for specifying which student users or groups can see the folder, tool, or content.
      2. Click "Review Status" if you want students to have to mark some other folder, tool, or content as reviewed before seeing this folder, tool, or content.
        1. Select the folder, tool, or content that the student has to review.
        2. Click "OK" if prompted to turn on "Review" for the selected item.
    4. Click "OK" in the bottom right when finished with criteria changes.
    5. Click "OK" in the bottom right when finished with rule changes.

If a folder, tool, or piece of content in a content area is using Adaptive Release, you will see "Enabled: Adaptive Release" under the title of the folder, tool, or piece of content.
