Email Problems Outside of Bb Learn

Generally, if you yourself are having problems with Drexel email that are not related to Bb Learn, contact the Drexel IRT Accounts office at accounts@drexel.edu or 215-895-2020.

If you are a student or an adjunct instructor, you may want to first make sure that you are not at or near quota in your Drexel email account. If you're not sure how to check this, contact the Drexel IRT Accounts office at accounts@drexel.edu or 215-895-2020.

If you are at or near quota in your Drexel email account, try deleting all unnecessary email and emptying out any "Trash" or "Spam" or "Junk" mail folders.

Then try sending yourself a test email to make sure you receive it.

If you can receive a test email and you have one or more students who say they cannot reach you by email, but you are generally receiving mail from other students, review the instructions below, and then copy/paste the instructions below and send them to the student or students with the issue:

  1. Have the one or more students who say that cannot email you, and/or cannot send an email with an attachment, take one or more screenshots of the email that they tried to send and any relevant error message emails that they received after they sent the message.
      (a) If they don’t know how to take a screenshot, they can go to http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/ .
      (b) The one or more screenshots should show from these emails the date sent, from address, to address, subject line, message body, and that one or more files (if any) are attached.
  2. Students should then send this information to the Drexel IRT Accounts office at accounts@drexel.edu the students should describe the problem that they are having and mention the course and section number and instructor that this is for.
      (a) If one or more students have some problem reaching the Drexel IRT Accounts office by email (again accounts@drexel.edu), those students then should try calling the Drexel IRT Accounts office by phone at 215-895-2020 to get further assistance.
  3. The Drexel IRT Accounts office finds that there is a legitimate problem, the students should ask the Drexel IRT Accounts office to contact their instructor so the instructor knows if there are technical issues or not.
  4. If the Drexel IRT accounts office says that one or more students are having technical issues with their email reaching you or at all, please let Mike Galloway (mjg88@drexel.edu), CCI Technology Services Manager, know.
