Grade Center -- Extra Credit
If you wish to assign extra credit in Blackboard Learn, the following methods are probably the easiest way to go about doing so.
- Have
a column with 0 points possible that is included in the Total column.
Also, you do not have a Weighted Total column in use. For the Total
column, it's recommended that you do have either the primary or
secondary display show the numeric "Score."
- Add extra points to existing assignments, even adding points above the points possible for those assignments.
If neither of these approaches seem suitable to you and you still want to use extra credit in your course, let us know, and we'll see if we can find a way in Bb Learn. If you do use extra credit, keep an eye on your Total and/or Weighted Total columns to make sure nothing unwanted is happening. Also, it's recommended to set the "Student Preview" to retain its settings after you exit it and to grade the "Student Preview" user to see if the grades perform as you expect.
