Turnitin Direct -- Rubrics

Create or Modify a Turnitin Rubric or Grading Form

NOTE: Do not use Bb Learn rubrics *AND* Turnitin Rubrics or Grading Forms.

It can be very confusing for instructors and students otherwise.

If you did create one or more Bb Learn rubrics in the Grade Center column corresponding to a Turnitin Direct assignment, see the "Remove Grade Center Rubrics" section below.

  1. Find the Turnitin Direct Assignment in your course and click the "View Assignment" link under the assignment title

Attaching a Rubric to a Turnitin Direct Assignment

See the creating and modifying Turnitin rubrics section above if you do not yet have an existing Turnitin rubric.

If you want to attach an existing Turnitin rubric to a Turnitin Direct assignment, do the following:

  1. After a student has submitted, access the "GradeMark" or "Turnitin Document Viewer" page for that student's submission.
    1. You do not need to link the rubric for every student's submission for the same Turnitin Direct assignment.
    2. But you will need to do this once per Turnitin Direct assignment to use a Turnitin rubric.
    3. If you do not know how to access the "GradeMark" or "Turnitin Document Viewer" page for a student's submission, see the "Grade a Turnitin Direct Assignment" section below. Ignore step 4b.
  2. Once you have accessed the "GradeMark" or "Turnitin Document Viewer" page for a student's submission, see the "Attaching a Rubric to an Assignment" section at the webpage below:
    1. https://guides.turnitin.com/01_Manuals_and_Guides/Instructor/Classic_Instructor_User_Manual/25_GradeMark%C2%AE/Rubrics_and_Grading_Forms#Adding_a_rubric_to_an_assignment
